Actually, you can get health insurance through some temp agencies. I know that if you temp through Spherion, you’re eligible for health insurance after 60 days. Other large agencies may have similar arrangements.
But in general – its more likely that a smaller business wouldn’t offer health benefits. (Though some do, of course.) Large companies generally have more leverage to offer a benefit package.
Lots of companies don’t offer health insurance, many construction jobs, as well as many insurance jobs. More and more companies are getting away from offering health insurance every day, thanks to the blood sucking medical industry.
Probablly also small buisinesses that maybe can not afford the expense.
Small ones.
