Does anyone know of a trustworthy and reasonable health insurance company?

I would love to quit my low paying job, to be home with my daughter. My husband is self employed and we are considering buying or own health insurance, as I’m really only working to pay for daycare and health insurance. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I just don’t know which companies I can trust.

They all cost too much and give you nothing, but Blue Cross isn’t too bad, Health net isn’t too bad

We’re on United Healthcare and thus far it has been great. We’ve had more trouble with hospitals OVER billing and our insurance cover than we have had with our insurance.

In general things, we pay 10% of the costs with a $25 copay.

However, in emergencies they pay 100%. My husband was rushed to the ER with chest pains and over $10,000 was released. They paid for all of it except for $50 of the ambulence ride.

I’ve also had Blue Cross AND Coventry, both of which were terrible. I had to have an emergency c-section and Blue Cross cancelled our policy because they said that the anesthesia I had wasn’t necessary. They didn’t just deny the claim–they CANCELLED the policy.
